Vivi Pineda is an American actress born in Cartagena, Colombia. From a very young age, Vivi dreamed of being a performer. She begged her parents to put her in a singing school, and by the age of 4, she was taking classes in singing, gymnastics, and swimming. Her aunt, who majored in Art and Design, taught Vivi how to draw and paint which remains one of her favorite hobbies.In the mid-80s, Vivi and her family moved to Miami where she grew up. In elementary school, Vivi participated in her first play. In middle school, she took acting classes and modern dance. In high school, Vivi continued her acting classes, joined the Drama Club and was part of the school's favorite dance group called The Fly Squad where they performed at school games and all the pep rallies. During her college years, she modeled and continued to take acting classes at her university. Eventually, Vivi decided to expand her studies and learn entrepreneurial skills. She decided to switch her major from Theater to Business where she graduated with a degree in International Finance & Marketing from the University of Miami.Upon her graduation, she worked in retail as a Junior Buyer for one of the largest department stores in Florida. Vivi also worked in real estate selling ultra-luxury condominiums on Fisher Island, one of the most exclusive communities in the nation. Even with her busy and demanding work schedule, Vivi never gave up on her dream of acting. She continued her acting classes and upgraded her skills by taking courses for television hosting, screenwriting, and film & television production. In 2008 she wrote and directed her first short film, "Victim" which received nominations for Best Director, Best Short Film and Best Lead Actress at the Miami Life Awards.In 2009 Vivi decided to leave real estate and focus her attention on a career in acting. Soon after, she started booking national commercials for major brands. Vivi has also worked on several popular Telenovelas and television series. She has managed to land roles in numerous independent films and booked roles in the studio films Rock of Ages and Pain & Gain.Vivi has an entrepreneurial spirit which has helped her tremendously in her acting career and in her other passions, which include real estate, nutrition, and fitness.
