Dio Johnson moved to California from his hometown Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2003. His time as a young man was divided between schoolwork and a multi-faceted love for the arts and entertainment. He also has an undying passion for sports and considered playing football at the collegiate level before making the decision to become a film, television, and stage actor. His artistic ardor has lead him to Los Angeles to study with some of the most sought after acting coaches. Dio very quickly began working as an actor in popular television shows such as NCIS, NCIS:LA, The Newsroom, and Hot in Cleveland to name a few. After a string of co-stars and a few national commercials, in 2012 he was awarded "Best Actor" for his role as the stoic and unpredictable Andre Johnson in Fight Night Legacy from the Los Angeles Web Festival and also The California Film Awards(2013).
